Today’s Hidden Heroes

It has been rightly said that “ Small acts of kindness when multiplied by a million people can transform the world.” Today while most of us are at our homes, staying safe there are some who are putting their lives at risk and saving others. From the doctors, nurses and the healthcare workers to those doing community service and voluntary work are the people who are in the frontline of the battle.

They are far from their homes and at work. But they are working diligently to save other’s lives. Across the world, in many countries, these hidden heroes have received appreciation in numerous forms. But that isn’t enough, they deserve more for they have put so much at risk and are doing their best in containing the spread. We can repay and value their effort by doing our bit and that is to reduce the enormous pressure on the health care system. This can only be done by strictly following the quarantine rules and trying to ensure social distancing. By doing so we are doing our best to ease the stress on the health care department.

One must also know that there are many other ways through which we can make a difference. Community service and Voluntary work. The lockdown has affected us all in an adverse manner. But it has had a heavy toll on the poor and the migrant workers. Taking the effort to provide at least a meal to the migrant workers or the weary looking stranger down the street may seem to be a small action for us but shall mean the world for that person. Helping others during a time like this shall really matter to these people. There are so many people out there who just require a token of kindness that shall appear to be a glimmer of hope for them and help them through these hardships. It is these small acts of kindness like giving them food or health care supplies or any other essential supplies that shall make the difference.

Today our doctors, nurses and health care workers are doing their duty towards the community and it is time that we do ours. All of us should try and help those in need  in anyway possible.

Help Others. Stay Home. Stay Safe.
